# How to reinstall OS

How to reinstall VDS operating system in a few clicks

Automatic OS reinstallation can be started in [your customer account](https://cp.vdsnow.ru). We have various OS templates ready to suit your needs (see [OS templates](/english/vds-management/os-installation/os-templates.md) page).

Click on the **`OS reinstall`** button:

You will see the list of available OS on the next step. Select the right OS in the *`Select OS`* field. 

Click on the **`Reinstall`** button to start the reinstallation.

OS reinstallation will take about 10 minutes. Windows OS reinstallation may take up to 2 hours depending on location and VDS configuration. You will be notified via e-mail once the reinstallation is done.
